Big Changes On The Way!

Arrived back in SC a few days ago and it has been great to see all the changes with my house.

Drywall complete.

Interior trim mostly complete.

Vinyl siding nearing completion.

Working on getting ready to prime and paint the interior.

Big news - Drywall !

My house has walls!

I didn't know that the drywall was going in, but my house now has walls and I'm delighted.
The friend who sent the pictures says it looks great and I hope to see it by early September.

I may be in Florida, but lots of things are happening in SC.

Insulation going in, doors added and drywall delivered.

I never know when they will go back to work, but I think the next few days when the workers are there are going to show dramatic changes.

Back in Florida, but Work Continues

I returned to Florida on Saturday, but my friends tell me the deliveries are continuing and work crews come and go.  More drywall has been delivered. Interior doors and the last of the exterior doors have arrived.

There is still a lot of work to be done, but the addition of doors and windows makes me quite happy!

Aug. 4th - Still Making Progress

A new day and new progress.

The foundation is going in for the front and back porches, the windows arrived and I met with the electrician to finalize the wiring plan.  I also met with the contractor who confirmed that everything is on track.

Instead of filling the space under the concrete with dirt, this builder installs a "corrugated" metal product and then a frame is built around the area before the concrete is poured.  It's different than what I've seen before and I'll find out more as the project moves along.

They may install the windows and some of the doors tomorrow.  More news when I have it.

My House Has a Roof!

The shingles were installed today and I now have a real roof on my house!

And wiring!  And plumbing!

I'm in SC for a few days and I hope to see more progress!
